WATER MANAGEMENT IN THE POULTRY FARM

OBJECTIVE To describe the control that are adopted in the supply of cleaned and sanitized water to the flock /birds for restricting the water borne disease ,maintaining  the required water content in the birds and body temperature . WATER SANITATION *Sanitizing of water is done daily adding specified quantity to the water tank . SANITIZER MIXING /PROCEDURE *After half of the water tank gets filled up add the required quantity of the tank. *Then close the lid of the water tank and open the vale for consumption by birds. CONTROL/QUALITY PARAMETER *Whenever the fresh water is pumped then fresh is carried out. *Bleaching powder in the ratio of 30 gm/1000 litter of water is used for Sanitizing. *3 gm chlorine tablets -one tablet for 500 litre of water . *5 gm chlorine tablets -One tablet for 1000 litre of the water . *H2O2 -80 ml/1000 litre of water . SANITIZER LEVEL CHECK *For drinker water and nipple check the level of chlorine in the water tank , first ,enter and last pen of the shed . *Pure 1 ml chloro tech re again into the 10 ml sanitized and water and test the level of chlorine in the sanitizer water .Colour will become blue .This is for Bleaching powder/tablet used farm.

*For H2O2  used Farms,used V205.10 ml water taken in testtube and add V205 drop by drop,The Orange colours will be in seen and disappear.

CONTROL QUALITY PARAMETER

*the sanitizer level to be checked at least two minutes in a day by the said supervisor and the same to be monitor by a farm in charge 

*The chlorination level 21 p.m. at the nipple /drinker pant.

*Use H2O2 to to the level should be in present. The colour should be in orange.

PIPELINE CLEANING PER MICROBIAL LOAD

*Do pipeline pushing after light off then in in night hours.

*Open the outlet valve located in the end of the drinker pipeline to drain the water.

*Leap the drinker drinking system.

*Close the outlet of the water tank.

*then pour recommended amount of H2O to 1% into the tank 10 ml per litre of water.

*Mix and open the outlet valve of the water tank.

*Open the end of the said outlet valve to follow water till the end of the pipeline. Then close the seat outlet valve.

*Keep the field solution in the pipeline for 4 to 6 hour then open the outlet.Simutaneously clean the tank and filled with the fresh water.then open the pipeline inlet and using the water in the tank push the entire pipeline and tube. Before allow to drink in all the acid water is removed completely in all line. The water pipeline and drinkers should be lower down to the birds level evenly.

*the flushing of the pipeline is done twice a day in the morning and evening by opening the gate valve of the overhead tank.

*This is to be done when water temperature increases.

*The water flow till the end of the set drinker line outlet so that the dust practical are removed and pushed out.

*The gate valve is to be closed after 10 minute.

After fushing check all nipples/drinkers are having every water follow.

*Drain the water tank completely by opening the outlet valve. Once the water gets completely drained sprinkle the bleaching powder in the tank.

*Rub  the side, bottom and top cover of the tank using the coir brush/ broomstick

*Then wash the tank outlet valve to drain the water completely.

*Ensure that both the tank maintained and shop tank are not cleaned at the same time. Empty one tank and clean it,eat fill out sanitise water and then do the same for the other tank also.

*Ensure the workers where hand gloves at the time of drinking bleaching powder in the tank.

*5% of bleaching powder for tank cleaning.

*cleaning of the tank and pipe line prepare water in tank .

*Besed on the set number split into 2 to 3 days to complete minimum 2 shed per day.

*Cleaning of the tank and pipe line preparable less water in tank time.

*check the air and refill the tank keep ready for the next day after injection.

*Ensure all the disinfectant water are drain out fully.

Well using bleaching powder as sanitizer for the sump tank 30 gram for 1000 litre of water.

.take required quantity of bleaching powder based on the tank water capacity.put the bleaching powder in the market for 1 kg bleaching powder 85 litre of water and mixing thoroughly. Then filter with clean cotton cloth. The filter bleaching water age pure in the tank. Mix thoroughly in the sump tank water at Night.

Used this sanitize water in the morning for drinking.

DOS AND DO NOT

*Don't make the bleaching powder directly in the tank.

*Tablet should we put in tank as such and not to to prepare as solution.

*H2 O2 16 be taken 80 ml per 1000 litre of water required. Mix with 2 and 4 litre of water and these mixer shoud be pored in tank.
